Announcing your Presence on Swirl Connect

When you first login to Swirl Connect, and anytime you choose thereafter, you update your presence status, which includes your chat availability, presence message, and mood. You can also choose to automatically check-in to any placemark you have previously visited.

If your phone and carrier support positioning, or if you're in proximity to someone whose phone supports positioning, you can quickly check-in to a placemark by choosing it from a nearby places list. If positioning is not supported, you can manually check-in to a place by choosing a past placemark, entering a placemark's street address, or entering a placemark's name. Upon checking into a placemark, you're presented with a list of other Swirl members at that place, as well as rankings of the placemark, and photos or notes posted there.
