Locating your Friends with My Swirl

My Swirl enables you to view your friends' current statuses and locations (1) or filter out those friends whose activity you're not interested in viewing (2). Selecting any friend will call up their login status, availability, mood, current location, and which placemark they're visiting (3). You'll also be able to view their latest activity, including photos, placenotes, and placemarks, as well as send them instant messages. Instant messages will reach them whether they're on a PC or mobile device. The "Locate" tab in the My Friends section will be one of your most visited sections in My Swirl.

Map your Friends' Activity with My Swirl

The map activity view shows all of your friends' latest activity (1). In this view, filtering becomes more important as your friends' activity levels increase (2). Each distinct type of activity is indicated with a different geomarker, enabling you to quickly zero in on those activities you want to view. You can also view latest activity in a tabular format (3).

Managing your Friend List on My Swirl

A Swirl friend list is very different from, say, a MySpace friend list. In Swirl, your friend list should only contain actual, real life friends. These are the only people who can check out your comings and goings, so they should be people you trust (1). Adding a friend is as easy as typing in their Swirl member name, and waiting for their approval (2). Pending inbound (others' requests to you) and outbound (your requests to others) friend requests are shown, and can be cancelled at any time (3). You can also use this section to block members (4).
