Exploring your Surroundings with Swirl Connect

While you're on the move, Swirl Connect will keep your location and presence updated (only on properly equipped phones), alerting you to nearby places and things according to your settings. You can also "Explore," and Swirl will show you people within proximity (1). You can connect with these people and exchange profiles or photos, chat, or sign guestbooks. All of the nearby placemarks, placenotes, and photos will be shown, and you can pull up details on each of them (2). Because Swirl is about staying in touch with your friends, you'll see ticker-based and screen-based alerts of your friends' activities, statuses, and locations (3).

Finding Places with Swirl Connect

Calling up details on any location item on the Explore screen will open a connection dialog for people or a details dialog for placemarks, placenotes, and photos. The details dialog is where you can find more detailed information about the location item, add your own photos or notes, or check-in. Adding photos is only available on properly equipped phones.
